#639 - Black-capped Gnatcatcher
Formerly very rare and irregular in Arizona, Black-capped
Gnatcatchers have become increasingly more numerous since 2002.
While still sometimes hard to find, they are now regular at Patagonia Lake State Park and the lower portions
of several canyons in the Santa Rita Mountains. The individual pictured above was photographed at

#640 - Rufous-backed Robin
Rufous-backed Robin is an almost annual winter visitor to southern Arizona at locations with fruit sources.
Boyce Thompson Arboretum east of Phoenix has perhaps been the most consistent spot to find them.
They are typically present from December (can be as early as
October) to March. The individual above was photographed at
Jakes Corner in Gila County, AZ on March 8, 2007.
