#652 - Lazuli Bunting
Although the attractive Lazuli Bunting only has a limited breeding presence in Arizona (mostly in the northern half of the state), it's a common, sometimes, abundant migrant throughout much of southeast Arizona; rare here in winter. You'll be suitably impressed no matter where you see one. This individual was photographed in Nutrioso in the White Mountains, AZ on August 17, 2008

#653 - Violet-green Swallow
The rather smart looking Violet-green Swallow is a fairly common breeder in the mountains of southeast Arizona; very common in the northern part of the state. August in southeast AZ sees them start to move out of the mountains and by late month large gatherings can be seen in lowland locations. This individual was photographed near Nelson Reservoir in the White Mountains, AZ on June 6, 2004
