| This bar graph is included to support the discussion of thrasher
occurrence at "the thrasher spot" located at the intersection of
Baseline Road and Salome Highway west of Buckeye in Maricopa County. Only
records of Sage, Bendire's, Curve-billed, Le Conte's and Crissal
Thrashers are included. For an explanation of the data and general

info. This location has been a reliable place to see Le Conte's Thrasher for many years. Although several other thrashers use the area, Curve-billed Thrasher was not reported until 2001. This prompted me to start collecting sighting data from other birders and to publish this bar graph. As you can see, Curve-billed Thrasher is very much in the minority. |

To contribute your data: Please send me an email with details of your visits showing actual date (not just month/year) and thrasher species seen or heard. Please include only those records in which you have 100% confidence. Note: I also want to hear about unsuccessful visits. For the purpose of this data, the number of individuals seen is not relevant, although I will add that to my data base if known. Only the presence of a particular species on a given date is used to prepare the bar graph. The more data we have, the better understanding we will gain. Thanks for your help.
